We are witnessing history. For decades, Old Forester's President’s Choice has been the stuff of legend. A bottle most folks only heard whispers about — unless you made the pilgrimage to Louisville and managed to score one at the distillery. But today? The gates are opening.

Old Forester just announced that President’s Choice Bourbon — one of its rarest, most coveted single barrel releases — is finally breaking beyond Kentucky borders. And if that wasn't enough to make your wallet nervous, they’ve raised the stakes with the debut of President’s Choice Rye — the first time rye has ever been included in this exclusive lineup.
Both expressions are hand-selected from barrels aged 7 to 9 years, with proof points ranging from 110 to 125, dialed in by Master Taster Melissa Rift and Assistant Master Distiller Caleb Trigo. These aren’t your run-of-the-mill single barrels — these are the barrels that tell stories. The ones that showcase Old Forester's absolute best.

Quantities? Of course they’re limited. Price? $225 a bottle — but let’s be honest, that’s the price of admission for a seat at the President’s table.
If you’re local to Louisville, you can try your luck at the distillery starting June 14th at 10am ET. A small allocation will also hit shop.oldforester.com for select states, but most of us will be hunting these down at select retailers nationwide as they trickle into the wild.
This release is more than a bottle drop — it's Old Forester throwing open the vault and letting the rest of us in.
About Old Forester Bourbon:
Old Forester is Brown-Forman's founding brand, founded in 1870 by George Garvin Brown. Brown believed Old Forester was so pure and consistent that he sealed it, signed it, and pledged, "There is nothing better in the market."
